This backgammon is handcrafted with the art of marquetry (also spelled as marqueterie) which is the art and craft of applying pieces of veneer to a structure to form decorative patterns and designs. Our skillful staff use this method in order to create the interior design of the backgammon.

Czech RepublicExcellent entry board into Backgammon
I wanted a not too expensive, not too big, but nice board because I'm just getting into the hobby. And this board fulfilled that to a tee. The delivery to the Czech Republic was very fast. Top quality workmanship and even though it's medium sized, it's still travel friendly. I am very satisfied with it. Just a small mention, the checkers are really light (since it is plastic) so they slide around the board very easily, therefore it wouldn't hurt to buy acrylic checkers, which I might do later.

This is an exceptionally well made, high quality backgammon set. The pieces fit perfectly in the side racks and stay there snugly when closed. The wood is absolutely beautiful.

The board is very nice. The cups and checkers feel cheap, and the dice are very small. The cups are simple, thin, very light plastic. The checkers are also light, and have small bits of plastic, I guess where they were detached in the manufacturing process - what I would expect from a $20 set. For the price, I expected the checkers and cups to feel much nicer.
