Description
The gorgeous look of the California walnut burl is especially vibrant. The color of the heartwood tends to be more chocolate brown while the European variety is more reddish brown. Lively figures in dark brown to black wood give the veneer a mystical aura. The playing field is a combination of California Walnut burl with Cherry & Oak points.
This backgammon is handmade using the art of marquetry (also spelled as marqueterie) which is the art and craft of applying pieces of veneer to a structure to form decorative patterns and designs.
Our skilful staff use this method in order to create the interior design of the backgammon.
