The Maritime pine veneer is a decorative reconstituted wood ensuring all the warmth and naturalness of the original raw material, in addition to colour and depth that overcomes every aesthetic limit. It is designed by the Japanese architect and professor Kengo Kuma with a new creative perpective. Kuma's stated goal is to recover the tradition of Japanese buildings and to reinterpret these traditions for the 21st century.
This backgammon is handmade using the art of marquetry (also spelled as marqueterie) which is the art and craft of applying pieces of veneer to a structure to form decorative patterns and designs.
Our skilful workers use this method in order to create the inside design of the backgammon.
